Free Art Workshop: Ages 55+ (Upcycled Bottles)
Get Creative at the Library! This is a free art program for seniors (ages 55+) at the Kalona Public Library. The class is taught by Debbie Sanderfield Farrow with the L.E.T.'s Center for the Healing and Creative Arts. In this class you will learn how to decoupage a bottle. You may use a wine bottle or other bottle of your choice. These bottles make great vases for flowers, branches, and peacock feathers. They also stand alone as art objects. Materials will be provided, but bring in anything special you would like to use, such as papers, ribbons, photos, etc. You can also bring a full or empty bottle of your choice, but there will be some extra bottles available. If you would like to sign-up for this free class call the Kalona Public Library at 656-3501 or email us at
