Free Art Workshop: Ages 55+ (Memoir/Journaling)
Get Creative at the Library! This is a free art program for seniors (ages 55+) at the Kalona Public Library. The class is taught by Debbie Sanderfield Farrow with the L.E.T.'s Center for the Healing and Creative Arts. In this class you will learn how to start journaling. Journaling has always been a way to document life, but this class will take you on a journey of self-discovery through the use of dynamic tools to inspire your writing. Explore journaling prompts, quotes, and other resources to bring soul to your writing. This is a small, intimate group that welcomes others. Last Tuesday Book Club
The Last Tuesday Book Club is a book discussion group for adults. The club meets eight times over the course of a year--reading, reviewing, and discussing recent and classic works of fiction and non-fiction by authors from around the world. Book Club members choose the eight books for the coming year every spring. The Book Club takes the summer and December off. All book group meetings are held on on the last Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM, or there is also a daytime meeting the following day at 12:30 PM. March Book--The Zookeeper's Wife By: Diane Ackerman

Storytime is designed for toddlers and preschool-aged children. Weekly half-hour storytimes are held Wednesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. and no registration is required.
