Charlie's Heroes Puppet Show
Through the eyes of puppet kids, Curtis and Maria, children will meet Charlie Corpuscle-the colorful puppet star-and his friends, Whitey White Cell, Paula Platelet, and Penelope P. Plasma, as they journey through the human body explaining how blood works. Brought to you by the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center. This show is suitable for ages 3-8.

Grades 1st-3rd Naturalist Pam Holtz "Nocturnal Animals"
Naturalist Pam Holtz will teach us all about nocturnal (awake at night) animals through hands-on activities including sensory experiences and games. She will also help dispel some common fears and myths about night animals. Suitable for ages 6-8.

Grout Museum/Bluedorn Science Imaginarium STARLAB
The STARLAB is a portable planetarium, able to hold an audience of 25-35 comfortable. One planetarium show is approximately 30-45 minutes long, plus a question and answer time before and after. Sign up is required and is first come, first served. We will be able to do at least 2 shows if we have enough kids sign up. This event is intended for kids ages 6-12. The first show will be at 3:00 p.m. and, if needed, a second show will be at 3:40 p.m. This show will be held in the Kalona Rec Center. Many thanks to the Wahington County Riverboat Foundation for providing funding for these excellent Special programs!
