Blank Park Zoo--Show & Tell
This traditional live animal program is designed to accommodate a large audience of all ages. The zoo will bring at least three animals to share during an interactive lesson. Children will be encouraged to answer thought-provoking questions about the animals and will have the opportunity to ask questions of their own. Suitable for ages 4-12. Many thanks to the Washington County Riverboat Foundation for providing funding for these excellent Special programs!

Special Presenter Kristin Simon
Kristin Simon will ask us, "Does stuff really make people happy? If not, what does?" We shall attempt to answer these questions by sharing Patrick McDonnell's book The Gift of Nothing and through fun activities. Snack will be provided. Suitable for ages 6-8.

University of Iowa Museum of Art
The University of Iowa Museum of Art is back again this summer. This time they will present objects from their Native American and First Peoples collection, with a focus on American Indian Ledger Drawings. A special focus will be on storytelling. This program is suitable for the whole family, although children younger than 6 may not be interested in sitting still for this.

FINALE PARTY Magician Rob Erdmann & Prize Giveaway!
Mr. E presents, "Dream BIG...Read!" a fun filled show that combines Magic, Puppets, Storytelling, Audience Participation, and a lot of laughs. Mr. E will be joined by Vern the Bird, Puff the Dragon, and Charlie as they bring books to life in a magical way. Please join us for a fun filled experience as we Dream BIG! Rob will be our finale for the summer reading program. This is a FAMILY program! Many thanks to the Washington County Riverboat Foundation for providing funding for these excellent Special programs!
